Caregivers provide clients with a safe environment, companionship and social interaction. They also perform other non-medical services such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping, errands, and transportation to doctors.
Most importantly Caregivers will help our clients maintain their independence and dignity. Some clients may be resistant to care so care giver must be considerate of their situation.
Working conditions:
Caregivers work in the clients’ homes. Bending down, lifting, and do other things associated with cleaning, cooking and care giving are a daily part of the care givers duties. They must also be able to calmly deal with patient ailments that might be due to physical or emotional problems at home. Since most clients can not be left alone, caregivers will be required to take "on duty meal break" and not leave the clients home during the break.
Employment Requirements:
Employee must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. A driving record must be on file in the WE CARE Home Care Inc. office as some clients require transportation.
Employee should have access to a car, pass a pre-employment background check, be a legal resident of the United States or have valid work VISA, and be able to read and write English, bi-lingual (Spanish, Polish) is a plus.
You must be compassionate and caring with good communication skills and the ability to work independently. You MUST be dependable as the client's health and wellbeing is dependant on your being prompt. You must react calmly especially during a crisis situation.
